A Conversation with Filmmaker David Abel and New England Aquarium CEO Vikki Spruill
Join us for a special virtual event with filmmaker and Boston Globe Pulitzer Prize-winning environmental reporter David Abel and the New England Aquarium’s president and CEO Vikki Spruill.

David and Vikki will talk about David's newest award-winning film, Entangled, which chronicles the efforts to protect North Atlantic right whales from extinction, the impacts of those efforts on the lobster industry, and the challenges right whales face in the wild.

There are now estimated to be about 350 right whales, making them among the planet’s most endangered species. The main threat to their survival, scientists say: millions of lobster lines that stretch from New England up through Atlantic Canada, standard gear for North America’s most valuable fishery. David and Vikki will discuss the making of Entangled, what the New England Aquarium is doing to help save right whales from extinction, and what you can do to help.

Please join us for this fascinating discussion and chance to ask David and Vikki your questions live.
