Did you know that Dobyns-Bennett High School is one of the first schools in the nation to offer a Prescribed Fire Module?! The main objective of the Dobyns-Bennett Pulaski Club is to educate high school students in the science of wildland fire and its role in managing natural resources. These students can apply their knowledge and hours to obtain their National Wildland Firefighter Certification.
Join Bryan Kerns, Mathematics and Fire Science teacher at Dobyns-Bennett at 12pm on Tuesday October 5 for a virtual presentation during our Fire in the Pines Week! He'll talk to us about how this club began and the experiences high-schoolers are walking away with.
